Do you want to write the best essay you’ve ever written? Or prepare and practice your Group presentation with others, and have the books and resources you will be referencing within easy reach? The Hartley Library now provides even more study spaces and more Group Study Rooms. New study desks are equipped with power sockets; there is fresh, bright furniture in newly, decorated spaces and areas of the building have been opened up and made accessible for the first time.

Ask library staff at the Level 2 Information Desk for directions if you need help to find resources, books or services. Visit the Academic Skills Hub, Hartley Library, Level 2 to learn how to search for books and journal articles more effectively, to develop more efficient revision techniques, to find out how to produce excellent academic essays, or book-in to one of our workshop sessions at lunchtime.

When it comes to spending time away from Southampton and enjoying breaks you can still work and study with access to more and more ebooks, ejournal articles and databases online. Be sure that your tablet or laptop is ready to use – get your username and password in place. Check with the experts at the IT Help Desk, Monday-Friday, 9-5. Be ready to study after the end of term, and be confident that you’re better prepared than ever before to achieve the best you’re really capable of. Be smart.
