Getting ready for exams in the library

The Semester 2 exams for 2017 begin in a couple of weeks. To help you to achieve the best that you can, preparations in the University libraries are well underway.

In the Hartley Library:

  • 24 hour opening continues until midnight on Friday 9 June
  • On Level 4, we have added the temporary additional study desks
  • Training and workstation rooms on Levels 1, 3 and 4 are open for students to use
  • Study desks in Course Collections on Level 2 and on Level 5 are bookable

The library is also providing drop-in and bookable workshop and bitesize sessions to support you in academic skills for revision and academic writing. See our list of workshops and online resources with top tips for the run up to and during exams.

At other library sites, staff are available to provide guidance and answer your questions. Make the most of the time that you have available.  There is a range of resources and services in the library and if you can’t find what you want, just ask a member of staff.

During this busy time please behave considerately towards other students, clear your study space once you have finished, and leave space for others to use by clearing away any rubbish.

So, good luck to all of you taking exams, take regular breaks, get plenty of sleep and minimize the beige food intake.
