Health Services Library, Southampton General Hospital

From Monday 23rd November, 2015 the opening hours for the Health Services Library at Southampton General Hospital will extend as follows:

Monday – Friday: 08:15 – 21:30

Saturday: 09:00 – 17:00

and

Sunday: 10:00 – 18:00

The changes in detail:

  • 08:15 start (instead of 08:30) Monday – Friday
  • 21:30 finish on Friday, instead of 18:00
  • 10:00 start on Sunday, instead of 14:00

Library & Learning Commons (Avenue Campus) is open during term time as follows:

Study space provided by the Library & Learning Commons is available, 7 days a week, 08:00-23:00 (same hours as Building 65 opening times).

Staffed hours and access to resources in Library & Learning Commons:

  • Monday-Friday – 08:30-19:30
  • Saturday & Sunday – 10:00-17:00

Hartley Library is open 24/7 now until midnight on Friday 11th December.

From Saturday 12th December, the Hartley Library will revert to normal opening hours until it closes at midnight on Wednesday 23rd December.

During the Christmas period, for the first time, Hartley Library will open on Tuesday 29th, Wednesday 30th and Thursday 31st December. In response to feedback, we will offer a basic service 09:00-18:00 on these days.

Hartley Library will be closed on New Year’s Day, Friday 1st January 2016.

24/7 opening will restart on Saturday, 2nd January from  07.30, in preparation for the busy Semester 1 exam period. 24/7 opening will continue from then until the Easter vacation.
