We are now open for business – our new Academic Skills Hub

sash-preopening-1Unsure what critical thinking is? Been told to improve your referencing? Want more ideas on how to plan your revision? Need some tips on presenting? Would like some help on avoiding plagiarism?

A new Academic Skills Hub, based in the Hartley Library, is where you can go to find out more about some of the skills you need to be successful in your studies and beyond. The Hub is staffed by librarians who can point you to resources and services both in and outside the University. Based on feedback from student surveys, the Hub covers a range of areas including critical thinking, essay and report writing, presentation skills, academic integrity, preparing for exams and information management.

The Hub is open 1000-1200 and 1400-1600 Monday to Friday throughout February, March, April and May. Just turn up and ask your question, appointments are not necessary! How to find us? Easy! -just follow the purple signs at the back of the foyer in Hartley , or ask!  We will also answer emails or chat.
