You may have seen in the local or national news that University staff across the country are staging a one-day strike on Tuesday 3 December. The background to the strike is explained in this BBC News article, and this article from Wessex Scene (the University of Southampton’s student newspaper).
As with the strike in October, Library opening hours and service availability will be affected:

|Avenue Campus Library||
|Health Services Library||
|National Oceanographic Library||
|Winchester School of Art Library||Open|
Please check our Library News page before visiting for the most up to date information as further changes in opening may take place on the day. The current information we have is that Library sites will operate reduced levels of service and support on Tuesday so you are advised to check before visiting, especially if you have a pre-arranged appointment or booking with us on the day. Course Collection books due for return on Tuesday will now be due back on Wednesday 4th December.
If you are a member of the University you will be able to find updates on other services via SUSSED, the University portal.
