This week is Open Access Week.
Did you know that Open Access publishing makes your research available for free to readers around the world? Research has shown that publishing in Open Access increases your citations.
If you’d like to know a bit more about Open Access, please take a look at our the Open Access pages on the Library website. There’s information about what Open Access is, why you might like to make your work Open Access and how you can do this.
The Library offers training sessions on Open Access. Staff can sign up sessions through Staffbook and research students can sign up via Gradbook. These will show you the different types of routes into Open Access, what funding is available to support this, and what Open Access requirements your funder may have.
We also offer customised training sessions for research groups or one-to-one training sessions for staff and PhD students in your office, if this is more convenient for you. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange one of these sessions or if you have queries about Open Access.
